Operating Systems

NaviSite Virtual Servers come with standard, secure, enterprise grade installations of the following Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003-- Web (Included) Standard (Included with D10000), Enterprise. Also available are Windows Server 2008 – Web, Data Center, Standard and Enterprise, CENT OS 5 and Red Hat.

Databases

NaviSite can install and configure SQL 2005 Workgroup, Standard and Enterprise editions. MySQL is available for servers with Linux. NaviSite provides these installations with best-in-class installations and takes care of all licenses. Also available is SQL 2008 Express, Web, Workgroup, Standard and Enterprise Edition with Windows Dedicated Servers.

Anti-Virus TrendMicro (Windows Servers) or ClamAVTM (Linux Servers)

NaviSite requires all servers to be running anti-virus to protect your servers and operating systems. We preinstall and configure these critical applications. Depending on your operating system we may install TrendMicroTM OfficeScanTM or ServerScanTM or ClamAV.

ParallelsTM Plesk

Parallels Plesk enables easy and safe server administration. With Plesk 9.x for Linux or Windows, the award winning and highly popular control panel, your team will be able to set tiered levels of access and administration for the server, including the ability to run DNS, Databases, Email, FTP, and Web servers.
